In a band? Want a gig? Now's your chance to play at Subside, Birmingham's rock & alternative bar! Subside will be holding gigs for local bands and are looking for bands of any type that falls into the rock & alternative genres to play. You must have your own backline equipment (drums, amps, cabs!) and/or be willing to kit share with another band due to lack of stage space but it's your chance to play at the fast becoming legendary Subside and propel you on the road to superstardom…..! Well maybe anyway… So, if you want to play with your band at Subside then drop us an e-mail to SubsideBar@aol.com with 'My Band Wants To Play Subside' in the subject line, enclose your name, band name, type of music (so we can match you up with someone suitable) and very importantly a contact telephone number and we'll then arrange a date for you to come play at the bar. Alternatively, speak to JP (Manager) or Jim (Assistant Manager) in person on your next visit to Subside. Come on then! Show us what you've got! If there are no bands playing, Subside will be closed on Sundays & Mondays to allow our staff and customers to recuperate from what is always a hectic Saturday night party!

On Tuesdays we'll have an amazing 4 drinks for just £5 on offer all night from selected brand name lines including Becks, Budweiser, Jack Daniels, Jagermeister, etc! Doors open at 5.00pm and admission is FREE!

Midweek Meltdown night with 8 brand name drinks for just £10 all night long! That's right 8 pints, 8 bottles or 8 spirits for just £10 and you can mix and match to suit yourself during the night!! 1st Thursday each month - Subside Movie Night!!
On the first Thursday each month we'll be continuing our hugely popular Movies Night's with different themes each month all shown on our big screen. We'll also have free popcorn and free nachos with dips to get you in that cinema mood! Check our Facebook pages for details of upcoming Movie Night film schedules and to make suggestions for future nights! Doors open at 5.00pm and admission is FREE!
2nd Thursday each month - Lounge Act open mic night!!!
On the second Thursday each month we'll be holding our 'Open Mic' night from 8.00pm till midnight with prizes for the best entertainers on the night. Whatever you do, whether it's acoustic, comedy, spoken word, poetry or something else, come along and put yourself in front of an audience at our Lounge Act night. Register your act with JP or Jim at the bar on arrival. Doors open at 5.00pm and admission is FREE!
3rd Thursday each month - Big Fat Quiz Night!
On the third Thursday each month we'll be holding our hugely popular Big Fat Quiz nights with your host Quizzee Rascal!! We'll have rounds of questions on Music, General Knowledge, Films, Sex & many other topics that will have you tickling your grey matter and having a chuckle at the same time! Entrance to the quiz is totally free and the quiz starts at 8.30pm each month. A mobile monitor will be checking there's no cheating and we'll have great prizes each month for the best team (five maximum!). Doors open at 5.00pm and admission is FREE!
4th Thursday each month - Subside Video Games challenge!
Each month we'll be holding a special challenge where you can come and play some of the latest games on our Playstations & X-Boxes against your friends & fellow Subsiders and we'll be giving away prizes every month for the highest scorers or winning players.

The whole bar will be rocking to the tunes played by our rotating resident DJ's so that you never get bored by the mix of rock, metal, punk, ska, indie & alternative anthems old and new that will be blasting out each and every week! 5.00pm till 6.00am. 'Bounce', everybody's favourite alternative Dubstep, D'n'B and Hip-Hop night will be in the house every Friday spinning the latest tunes from that genre between midnight & 6.00am for alternative music fans with their fingers on the pulse.

Throwdown with Matt Walsh is now back in the upstairs bar at Subside twice a month between 8.30pm and 1.00am giving you the perfect warm up before any club night with its mix of Hardcore, Melodic, Metalcore, Djent, Math & Deathcore and all the hevy jams.
Upstairs - 2nd & 4th Saturday each month! DIRT!
On the second & fourth Saturday each month we'll have 'The Dirt' between 8.30pm and 1.00am! The Dirt is a night of the filthiest sleaze and hard rock from both old-school and new school bands so be expected to hear tracks from the likes of Crue, Skid Row, Love/Hate, Poison through to CrashDiet, Backyard Babies, BlackRain and Hardcore Superstar all delivered by DJ Naughtyboy!
